We care about your ocular health and overall well-being!

We understand that medical insurance can be confusing and are here to support your understanding the best we can.

The providers at Coal Creek Family Vision do more than routine annual eye exams to support your ocular health without the need to refer you out; which in turn helps to keep your out-of-pocket medical costs down.

Below is a breakdown of terms/expenses that may be applicable to your upcoming visit.

Medical Visits may be subject to a copay, coinsurance, and/or deductible:

COPAYS

This is typically a set dollar amount found on the front of your insurance card or patient insurance portals.

COINSURANCE

This is a percentage of the cost of your covered health care services. Due to the variability in how much an insurance company covers on your behalf, you may pay on the date of service and/or receive an invoice for any remaining out of pocket expenses as determined by your insurance company.

DEDUCTIBLE

This is your out of pocket amount that needs to be met before your insurance plan starts to pay on your behalf. If you have not met your deductible at the time of service, you will receive an invoice for any remaining out of pocket expenses as determined by your insurance company.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can come work with one of our team members whenever is convenient for you if you already have a valid/current prescription.

To ensure you have plenty of time to make the best decisions without being rushed, we ask that you arrive at least an hour prior to closing.

We work with local labs to ensure you are getting the best quality but also the most efficient timelines.

The majority of our orders are ready for you to pick up within 7-10 business days.

Our system will automatically alert you via text or email once they are ready for pick up!

It is recommended that you have an Annual Eye Exam to stay current on your health and wellness visits.

That being said, your glasses and contact lens prescriptions are valid for 2 years in the state of Washington unless otherwise noted.

Patients new to contact lenses or patients that have specific medical presentations may notice a 1 year expiration date on their contact lens prescriptions.

You can access your current prescriptions, exam history and download your previous invoices in the Patient Portal free of charge 24/7 or you can pick up a printed copy in person.

COVID-19 Patient Protection Protocols

We would like to first thank you for your support as we move through the changing climate that COVID has presented each of us uniquely, but also as a community. • Masks are still required by the Washington Department of Health for entry for all visitors – Updated 2023

Exam Appointments:

  • Patient intake paperwork will be provided digitally to be completed before your appointment.

Office Sanitizing Steps & Touch Free Options

  • All common area surfaces and equipment are sanitized regularly throughout the day.
  • All eyeglass frames are sanitized regularly.
  • We are offering non-contact payment options including touch-free enabled credit card terminals for tap cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay or you may request a payment link be texted to your digital device.
  • Patients will be provided access to digital prescriptions & patient records through the online Patient Portal.
  • We have upgraded our HVAC system to include Global Plasma Solutions Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization air purification technology as well as upgrades to improve circulation in exam rooms.
